Article Correctness Is Author's Responsibility: New Maine Law Increases Patient Access to Anesthesia Delivery by Requiring Insurers to Cover CRNA Services

A new law signed April 6 by Maine Governor Janet Mills requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) services to be covered and reimbursed by insurers, consistent with other advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) in the state. The law also states that insurers may not prohibit CRNAs from participating in provider networks, offering patients across the state greater access to high-quality care.
